Zara has launched make-up!

Just in time for summer.

Zara might be our go-to for all things fashion — and their online store our deadly enabler — but there’s one thing that’s never been available at our favourite high street store: beauty. As of this week, that all changes.

Zara has finally launched their first foray into beauty, testing the waters of all things make-up with their first drop of curated lipsticks. With a slew of shades, ranging from blush pinks to deep berries and eye-wateringly bright reds, Zara’s first look of what’s to come from the brand is making us very, very excited.

Broken into categories, the lipstick range has two formulas: Ultimatte and Hi Matte, the first with 12 shades and the latter with eight. They are also selling a kit, the Ultimatte Trio Set, which comes complete with one of each, in your shade of choice, plus a lipliner.

The Ultimatte shades, which come in a chic blue canister and feature the Zara logo on each stick, includes a variety of pinks, purples, reds and berries — all with a moisturising yet matt texture. The Hi Matte lipsticks come in a gloss formula, with the resulting application matt and liquid.

The brand have tapped legendary make-up artist Pat McGrath to helm their first campaign, outfitting models with pared-back looks to allow for the colour-popped lipsticks to do the talking.

Priced from $15 and available in-store and online now, the lipstick range is no doubt a hint at what’s to come from the fashion juggernaut, who we’re expecting will roll out a full beauty kit in the months to come. In the meantime, we’ll be wearing Ultimatte in UM01 all through the new year.
